Support for single mothers, child caregivers, and people in need in Bielany, Warsaw, Mazovia.

Kwitnący Dom is a place born out of the love and commitment of the local community in Warsaw and Mazovia. Thanks to the support of neighbors, organizations, and hundreds of volunteers, our activities have grown to support those who find themselves in difficult life situations.

Our mission: We do not leave any woman in need. We fight to ensure no child in Warsaw goes hungry.

If you or someone close to you needs support, we are here to help. We only ask that you follow our rules, which allow us to operate efficiently and effectively.

Types of support offered by Kwitnący Dom (Matki) in Warsaw

  1. Maternity Kits for Moms

At Kwitnący Dom, we offer maternity kits for expectant mothers and their newborns. These kits include clothes, diapers, blankets, bottles, toys, and hygiene products. The kits are primarily assembled from donations, including both new and gently used items. After prior registration through our website, they can be collected at Kwitnący Dom in Bielany, at Kwitnąca 14 Street.

  1. Food Assistance in Warsaw

Food assistance is a crucial aspect of Kwitnący Dom’s operations. We regularly distribute fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy products, and other food items. This assistance is available to people from Warsaw and Mazovia who apply through the Social Welfare Center (OPS) or a supporting foundation. Food can be collected at our location after making an appointment.

How to receive a food package from us?

If your current situation does not allow you to purchase sufficient food, please contact your nearest Social Welfare Center to request registration for food collection. All Social Welfare Centers in the Warsaw Agglomeration are regularly informed about our supplies and the availability of this assistance.

In addition to us, regular food assistance for people with refugee experience due to the war in Ukraine is provided in Warsaw by:

  • Fundacja Dobro Czynić, located at Mińska 65, Warsaw (from Tuesday to Saturday, you can also receive fresh food provided by us),

  • Caritas, at Towarowa 25a, Warsaw,

  • Polish Red Cross (PCK), at Szańcowa 25, Warsaw.

In Warsaw, there are food-sharing points, offering an alternative to traditional food assistance. These are places where residents can leave food that they won’t consume but is still safe to eat. These public points allow food exchange between those in need and those willing to share. By using these points, you can find various food products, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, as well as prepared meals.

  1. Workshops for Children and Adults in Bielany

We organize workshops for children and adults at Kwitnący Dom that support personal development, parenting skills, creativity, and social integration. The workshops cover a wide range of topics, from artistic to educational. The schedule and topics of the workshops are announced on our website.

  1. Material Assistance – Clothing, Baby Items

The entire Kwitnący Dom team ensures that resources that could be wasted are directed to those in need. We offer clothing for adults and children from birth, cribs, baby bathtubs, bedding, and other baby items.

If you need other items, such as clothes for older individuals, we encourage you to contact other organizations:

  • Christian Community Południe at Mińska 65, Warsaw,

  • Fundacja Uniters, located at Śródmieście Cultural Center, Smolna 9, Warsaw (open all week from 12:00 to 19:00),

  • Polski Komitet Pomocy Społecznej, at Perzyńskiego 14 (clothes, footwear; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 09:00–13:00),

  • Day Care Center, at Robotnicza 15, Warsaw (Tuesday and Friday from 10:00 to 14:00),

  • Mokotowskie Hospice of the Holy Cross, at Magazynowa 14, Warsaw (Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 13:00, Friday from 12:30 to 15:30).

Public Assistance and Social Support System

If you need assistance, always first take advantage of the opportunities offered within the public social assistance system. To do so, contact the nearest Social Welfare Center. Remember – our support is also available to individuals referred by the Social Welfare Center (OPS).

Assistance for people with migration and refugee experience

Kwitnący Dom supports all migrants and refugees. If you are in a difficult situation, contact us via email, phone, or in person. In addition to our activities, we collaborate with foundations and organizations that offer specialized and immediate assistance. Therefore, even if we cannot help directly, we will do our best to guide you further.
